What is Clash Detection?
As complexity of Building increases, the type and range of elements that are involved increases substantially. There are a host of Building Services, Structural Elements as well as Architectural Elements that run close to each other. There is a great possibility that these elements cross each other or are present in the three dimensional space. When such discoveries are made during construction, it may result in delays or compromises.
Clash Detection is a process that utilizes 3D Multi-Disciplinary models. These combined 3D Models form a complete Virtual Building on a computer. Revit & Navisworks identify clashes between different elements and reports can be generated. These reports are utilized to resolve the clashes, long before actual construction on site.
